2009 Volleyball Schedule

Head Varsity Volleyball Coach Michelle Dodds

Michelle has a BS in Travel and Tourism and is currently working on a masters in Sports Management. She has been a Varsity coach previously at Capital High School, where in each of her three seasons her team qualified for the State Tournament. She is also a coach and Assistant Club Director for Idaho Stars Youth Volleyball Club.

Her club teams have been successful throughout the years with numerous top 5 finishes at USA Volleyball National Tournaments, she has won three Intermountain Volleyball Association Regional Championships, and has had four appearances at USA Junior Olympics, where her teams have finished in the top half.  She is currently a USA Intermountain Region High Performance coach and is Gold Medal Certified by Dr. Carl Mgowen. Michelle played for Centennial High School under head coach Charlotte Odale. In 1993, her senior year, the Patriots won the State Tournament. Michelle was named 1st team, and made the Senior All Star Team. She played club volleyball for Boise Sports Center (currently Boise River VBC). Michelle played at ISU as a defensive specialist for the Bengals. In the summer of 1997, again coached by Charlotte Odale, her team won the USA Adult National Championship in the "A" Division.

Michelle is currently employed by Global Travel and is a the only Spain Specialist in Idaho, recognized by the prestigious Virtuoso Luxury Travel Consortium. In 2008, she was awarded the Agape in Action Community Service Award for outstanding service, empowerment/unity, excellence in the human service sector, and her leadership in spiritual growth and development.

Michelle was born and raised in Boise, ID and enjoys being involved with the Basque community, spending time with her family and traveling. She feels very privileged and honored to be part of the Grizzly family, and is looking forward to establishing traditions and a sense of pride in self, school, and community.
